this Canon 518 autozoom

hi folks,
well, as usual, something is hindering my super-8 exploits. i got this canon 518 autozoom camera and the manual apeture reader won't come into the view finder and it won't come up when i put it on manual. i haven't put the 1.3v batteries in it,cause i can't find any, but i was wondering if anyone has one of these cameras and could give me a point int he right direction...peace out. thanks

I got this camera and I bought the battery from the net. What exactly is your problem ?

My camera 's meter(electric eye) doesn't work when there are no batteries in that cell chamber TOO.So take it easy.
The battery is HD625(you need two), but I forgot the place I ordered it from, might be www.photobattery.com --I 'm not sure.May be some other guys here can give you a hint.

the manual apeture won't work....as in, the meter thingy won't show up when i twist the button to manual. i was wondering if i have to put batteries in it for auto and manual apeture or if its just mussed. by the wya, where did you get the batteries?? thanks,

formy canon i purchased the batteries from a little camera shop for $13.00 for two, surely over there it would be no prob?
